  • 21 % VAT conform European law, calculated upon the pen price and all accessories, shipment cost included

Shipping cost for orders outside EU

For pen orders outside the European Union, the following charges will be added upon the displayed price of our pens at the webshop:

  • Global shipment cost pens: € 35 and for nibs only: € 18
  • No VAT charged

Conid takes no responsibility for any additional charges due to customs fees. These will be at the cost of the receiver.

Do I need to pay the additional custom charges?

As a small and slow growing company – we deliver Ex-Works. This means that any additional charge (custom duty, tax, ..) after shipment is accounted by the receiver (you) and not the shipper (we).
This is not a fun detail, we are aware of that. The bright sight to look at it: the Conid owners within the European Union don’t get any kind of customs duty since we have open borders, but instead get charged 21% VAT upfront… Which is In most cases much higher than any duty / fee.

Shipment terms and conditions

Conditions based on our DHL carrier

Shipments cannot be delivered to PO boxes or postal codes. Shipments are delivered to the Receiver’s address given by Shipper but not necessarily to the named receiver personally. Shipments to addresses with a central receiving area will be delivered to that area.

DHL may notify the receiver of an upcoming delivery or a missed delivery. The receiver may be offered alternative delivery options such as delivery on another day, no signature required, redirection or collection at a DHL Service Point. Shipper may exclude some delivery options on request.

If the Shipment is deemed to be unacceptable as described in Section 2, or it has been undervalued for customs purposes, or receiver cannot be reasonably identified or located, or receiver refuses delivery or to pay Customs Duties or other Shipment charges, DHL shall use reasonable efforts to return the Shipment to Shipper at Shipper’s cost, failing which the Shipment may be released, disposed of or sold without incurring any liability whatsoever to Shipper or anyone else, with the proceeds applied against Customs Duties, Shipment charges and related administrative costs with the balance of the proceeds of a sale to be returned to Shipper.
